Water and Sanitation Agency WASA (Faisalabad) has a responsibility to provide fresh and healthy water to its residents. Because the reason is that the groundwater of Faisalabad is quite salty and undrinkable, and its residents don’t have enough sources of water to consume. So, WASA takes this responsibility and pumps plenty of water from the main city, “Chiniot,” and transports it all over the city. Currently, WASA Faisalabad uses 29 tube wells and collects 56 million gallons of water per day (MGD) from the city Chiniot well-field area near the river Chenab.
