NHS Digital is the national information and technology provider for the health and care system. Our growing team of 2,700+ information analysis, technology, and project management experts create, deliver, and manage the crucial digital systems, services, products, and standards upon which health and care professionals depend, working in partnership with national and local organizations. Chief Development officer-System Engineering will work collaboratively with both federal & local organizations

Our Consultant System Engineers:

Will be responsible for the technical leadership and delivery of national, highly available distributed systems being built and run within NHS Digital.

Chief Development officer-System Engineering is a fantastic opportunity to work across the Platforms team.

You will be responsible for establishing a set of consistent technologies and practices across the directorate. Firstly, you will also require work with the Service Now implementation to ensure that deployments can be friction-free and deployable safely within business hours. In addition, there needs to be standard metrics captured such as code coverage, past success-failure Platforms, team health, etc. (similar to or expanding on the Engineering Dashboards) to give a consistent ‘head up display’ of the health across all Platform services.

About you

Evidence of specialist knowledge in Agile and DevOps.
Experience of technical leadership across large IT transformation projects
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialisms, provision of detailed advice regarding their application and execution of specialized tasks.
