Role As A Software Engineer:
This role(Software Engineer in UK) sits within the “Tech and Data” teams. The drivers beyond our platform – are brilliant people working together to design, code and build the next game changers.
What will you be doing?
Cooperative as part of an agile cross-functional team, as well as within the technology department
Building great user experiences for customers
It automates innovation through software that enables Funding Circle to operate at scale.
We work with a variety of tech, so depending on the team you join, you can use Clojure & Kafka // Ruby // Python & Terraform, all built entirely on AWS.
Experience and Skills:
As a Software Engineer in UK you have experience in at least one primary programming language (we use Ruby, Clojure and Python, so these would be preferred but not required)
Basic programming skills (data structures, algorithms)
Knowledge of functional programming
I am getting familiar with Unix/Linux.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, BDD, TDD and CI/CD
Interest or experience in any functional programming, distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
