Ordnance Survey is looking for a Software Engineer in London (D365 Data Warehouse) to join our team. The role will be based at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Southampton. However, all of our people, where they can, are currently working from home. Where there will be a division between home and office work, you will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,414 – £42,840 per annum.

Role:
We are commencing on an ambitious project to migrate from our current SAP ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSCM (D365). As part of this, we are addressing a wide range of reporting needs with multiple reporting tools, including PowerBI reports running in an Azure-based data warehouse.
The project has also identified other data sources within the business that are outside this project’s scope but will form part of a corporate reporting platform. This role will focus on building reporting solutions within an Azure-based data warehouse.
The exemplary candidate will have a strong background in delivering reporting solutions using multiple tools. Experience using Azure packages such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, and Azure Data Lake will be beneficial. They would also benefit from experience with T-SQL, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.
What we are looking for in our software engineer:
Necessary
Experience collaborating with business customers, gathering their needs, and developing practical solutions.
Experience developing and maintaining reporting solutions.
Excellent track record in supporting and operating services you build, identifying and resolving issues in production
Desired.
Experience building and developing data warehouses, specifically using D365 FSCM entities
Experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, Data Factory, and Data Lake.
Experience working with ARM templates and Azure DevOps.
Experience working with Power BI and T-SQL.
