Job Description:
- Because our customer uses a telecom-grade cloud platform, therefore High Tech Genesis is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a role testing a cloud-based platform for its Native Cloud Platform offering.
- To achieve high standards of product quality, you will work and interact with development and customer-facing teams.
- Along with working together with the product management, development, and customer service teams.
- Create automated testing for a carrier-grade, highly available platform that will serve as the preferred platform for 5G vendors.
- Test the newest container, high performance, and technologies for the Edge.
- Work with some of the most exciting and dynamic open-source software projects available today, including Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, OpenStack, Ansible, Ceph, etc.
- Participate in a team that focuses on fault-tolerant/carrier-grade testing, virtualization, VM management, and containerization.
- Use agile development to take part in all phases of the software development process.
Requirements:
- Working in software testing and automation for seven years or more.
- 7 and plus years of experience working in a Linux environment
- Working with Python or other programming languages for more than four years
- Strong analytical and debugging abilities for at least seven years
- We are a cloud-native environment employing Edge Compute, thus knowledge of containers and/or cloud-based technologies like Kubernetes, and OpenStack would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of additional languages (such as Shell Scripting and SQL) is a plus
- It doesn’t happen frequently, but you may occasionally be required to perform manual testing, therefore having the ability to do so is essential.
- It would be advantageous to have knowledge of network technologies such as switching, routing, firewalls, and L2/L3 protocols.
- It would be advantageous to have experience with widely used networking test tools like IXIA.
- BSc or MSc in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or a related technical degree
