Two senior systems administrators in Toronto, Canada with experience in DevOps and cloud computing are need by the Treasury Board Secretariat’s Enterprise Applications Branch to join a high-performance team.

You will assist numerous Enterprise and Corporate systems using SaaS integration and configuration capability as a member of our dynamic and hurried team. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology on a fascinating and varied variety of initiatives connected to the modernisation of Ontario’s commercial applications, including document collaborative development processes and digital recruitment modernization.

Advanced Technology:

Work with cutting-edge technologies including Drupal, AngularJS, Node.js, Docker, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Microsoft Azure, Cosmos DB, and AWS Cloud.

What can I envision doing in this position?

  • As a Senior Systems Administrator with experience in DevOps, you will:
  • Design, develop, automate, deploy to, and maintain cloud infrastructures so that our technical team can keep developing and deploying enterprise solutions to aid in the most efficient delivery of services for Ontarians by public servants.
  • To complete system functional requirements, run workshops on system configuration and gap analysis, and prepare and deploy a new instance in a cloud environment.

Your Impression:

  • The development and quality assurance team will be able to produce high-quality digital goods thanks to your expertise and enthusiasm for planning, constructing, and managing a reliable, secure, and scalable cloud environment.
  • Our testing and deployment pipelines will be further automate with your support so that we can deliver solutions fast and progressively.
  • Our solutions will be accessible whenever and wherever we need them if you can monitor and evaluate the security and health of apps in a cloud environment.
  • You will design, test, and put into place operational security measures that ensure data integrity and guard against illegal access.
  • We will look to you for DevOps guidance and mentoring as our apps expand throughout the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and interface with other platforms.
  • You will continually learn new technologies and approaches while working with a high-performance team, both from your outstanding coworkers and via research and experimentation.

How am I eligible?

Technical expertise and background:

  • You have a track record of supporting production on one or more of the top cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • You are familiar with front-end markup and scripting languages, open source tools, and online analytics software.
  • You are proficient in a number of programming languages, including Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node.
  • You have knowledge with continuous integration build tools including Git, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
  • You’re familiar with technology for container-based virtualization, such as Docker.
  • You’ve built APIs and used them in integration
  • You’ve used industry standards and best practises for web, architecture, and security in your work that others could use.
  • You’ve used databases like MySQL, CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and others that are relational and not relational.
  • You have knowledge of both offensive and defensive methods for safeguarding settings.

Skills in Communication and Leadership:

  • You feel at ease facilitating conversations and pitching your ideas to top management in addition to technical and non-technical peers.
  • You work with others on your project as part of a multidisciplinary team and are an effective communicator.
  • You are a capable leader who can encourage and direct your team.

  • Salary: $1,704.17 to $2,128.95 per week in wages
