What will you do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Jetty, you will have to do the following things:
- Create reliable, scalable, and high-performing technical solutions
- Produce quality, maintainable, and testable software code
- Participate in design sessions and code reviews with attention to detail
- Provide empathetic and constructive feedback to mentor junior engineers
- Ensure seamless launch of new features and services with exceptional customer experiences
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to evaluate build options and estimate work size
- Promote a security-conscious culture and implement best practices throughout Jetty’s codebase

- Proficient in a range of programming languages and frameworks, including Python, Javascript (React.js, Next.js)
- Experienced with various database management systems, such as Postgresql, DynamoDB, Redis, and Snowflake
- Skilled in developing Python-Flask API Servers, Lambdas, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions
- Familiar with AWS, GitHub, and DataDog

Technical skills
We require the following technical skills to join as a Senior Software Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, and React, with a willingness to learn and recommend new technologies
- Knowledge of server-side concepts, including microservices, caching, performance, monitoring, and scalability
- Familiarity with event-based architectures
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, such as S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, and FarGate
- Relevant data modeling and database integration experience, such as MySql and Postgres
- Proficiency in modern source control tools, specifically GitHub
- Understanding of CI/CD build and deployment tools, including GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with production monitoring tools and practices, such as DataDog
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in Fintech, Insurance, or similar financial services companies is a plus
