Senior IT Project Manager
ROLE PURPOSE:
This role(Senior IT Project Manager in Uk ) will report to the Head of Special Projects, who sits in the CEO’s office. The responsibility will include managing a series of on-the-fly projects across multiple stakeholders as part of the digital transformation program delivery. The role holder will bring a wealth of contemporary digital and technology project delivery experience and will be an established senior project manager. As a Senior IT Project Manager in Uk you will take responsibility for programs and projects and ensure delivery through a professional and methodical approach to program and project management, ensuring that the activity is Delivered as per set standards and within budget.
Main Responsibilities of Senior IT Project Manager in Uk:
The role holder (Senior IT Project Manager in Uk) will support others in undertaking all aspects of project and program management across a variety of high profile digital related project activities, including organizational and business transformation, including the following aspects:
Establish cross-functional project teams, coordinate staff across the organization engaged in project work, and provide leadership, vision, coaching, and direction to team members.
As a Senior IT Project Manager in Uk ensure deliverables, objectives, and project outcomes(s) are achieved within established timelines, budget, agreed scope, and quality standards.
Lead project meetings and facilitate workshops as required, written and oral reports,/Appropriate management information to senior management and other groups.
Identify, document, analyze and, if necessary, challenge internal and external customer requirements, ensuring the project meets business needs / strategic objectives.
Liaise with experts to ensure they meet the specification requirements for your area of responsibility.
Identify and secure the resources and expertise required to deliver the project (including managing third-party suppliers as appropriate);
Detailed project planning and documentation (definition of project scope, deliverables, success criteria, benefits management, dependencies,
change control, risk management) including escalating risks and issues as needed
Closely monitor project progress, performance and quality, including evaluation and achievement of benefits
Identify user/customer training needs and ensure appropriate training is provided.
Appropriately represent the program, project and GBS at internal/external project meetings and events.
Work with the Head of PMO within the Special Projects team to establish robust project management standards, resource management, planning, review and analysis and execution tools, trackers, and techniques.

2 Assessment and Feasibility
As part of the preparation of project proposals and the project initiation phase, assessment and feasibility activities will be required, including:
Liaising with business leads/key partners to ensure proper evaluation and completion of feasibility activity
Obtain key information, including high-level objectives, benefits, risks, dependencies, scope, resources and costs
Facilitate appropriate communication with key stakeholders, as needed, to be able to convey this information through meetings, workshops and one-to-one discussions 30%
3 Problem Resolution
As a Senior IT Project Manager in Uk assist other project managers in the delivery of high-level project activities, including those facing difficulties, by performing duties such as:
Troubleshooting and problem solving, including problem analysis and exploration of solution options
Providing expert advice and recommendations to senior management on necessary steps for project recovery
Taking on the role of the project manager when required
Establishment of project ‘recovery’ team(s) to bring the activity back on track and ensure successful outcomes.
Skills Requirements for Senior IT Project Manager in Uk:
For Senior IT Project Manager in Uk you have ability to apply project and program management disciplines in a flexible manner and appropriate for complex change programs
• Ability to develop business cases, analyze business needs and identify and realize business benefits – excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills and relationship management, including the ability to engage, communicate, influence, and negotiate with senior management and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility
• Consulting skills, including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, support, challenge and advise other project and program managers –
High-level influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively in a complex organization
Experience
Must-have • 10-15 years of experience successfully managing and monitoring medium to large-scale projects through all stages of the project life cycle
At least 5 years of contemporary digital project management experience complusery for Senior IT Project Manager in Uk
Excellent understanding of a range of Project Management approaches, including Agile, Waterfall and Prince2, with formal training in one or more of these methodologies
Extensive knowledge & experience in a range of project management techniques and tools, including relevant software (e.g. Trello, MS Planner, Jira, MS Project)
Experience in managing and working on complex cross-functional projects and project teams (e.g. IT and service provision)
Experience in managing, mitigating and reviewing project risks & issues
Experience in managing change in a complex organization – Experience in leading/motivating project teams
