In order to support the production of animated feature films, episodic series, commercials, and virtual reality content, the Senior Full Stack Developer is leading a team that is in charge of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining over 25 internal facility and production management applications. The candidate will conduct code reviews, uphold modern software development methods, mentor junior developers, plan end-user support, and propose creative solutions to various issues.

Responsibilities:

• Support a team building specialised software tools for commercial, virtual reality, and episodic productions, as well as feature films.
• Plan for the testing and release of production systems

• Implement workflows set by the Head of Production and the programme manager/product owners.

• Manage the support queue and deal with a variety of support and feature requests. 
• Communicate status and resolution with clients of diverse technical expertise.
• Work in a predominantly Linux environment while being dispersed across many locations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience developing web applications or other software – BS or higher in software engineering or a comparable technical discipline – Expertise in Git, Node.js, React, and RESTful APIs (Express.js)
• Expertise with scalable systems and test-driven techniques
• An in-depth familiarity with databases and database-driven systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Strong estimation and planning skills

Also helpful

• A solid grasp of UI/UX principles
• DBMS knowledge (MongoDB, Postgres, MySql, etc) – Modeling, query writing, and scaling
• Experience with message brokers and queues (Redis Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Indexing and dashboarding experience (eg, ELK stack, Grafana, etc)
• Knowledge of application containers – Experience with continuous integration and deployment (Docker)
