As we know that the printing industry is one of the biggest industries on the planet. It faces a lot of challenges when it comes to collaboration and process of digitization. Our team is currently building a sophisticated software platform for this industry so we are hiring a senior developer to solve the issues. The target of our company is to create a place where all print related processes world-wide run on a centralized industry platform.
Our team design and build the foundation services for this platform, as well as documentation and developer resources. Responsibilities of our team include process design, product design, UI/UX, implementation and operations as well as marketing and general strategy.
All of this is backtrack by Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG, the biggest print equipment manufacturer in the world, with more than 100 years of history. Heidelberg has acquired us (called Crispy Mountain back then), in order to combine the excitement of a young team with the knowledge and tradition of one of the oldest brands in print.

YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR DEVELOPER
It will be your job to check and implement parts of the foundation services we discussed about earlier. We build a “macro”-services (somewhere between die-hard micro service and monolith) architecture, there are many interesting and different independent projects to choose from. You will take over full responsibility for one of these projects and work closely with our CTO in making it happen.
TOOLS OF CHOICE
Our tech stack is built upon Ruby on Rails, Heroku, AWS, and Postgres. We accept the Rails Way of doing things, with a lot of the magic happening in the backend and sprinkles of Javascript using Stimulus and sometimes Vue.js in the frontend. With all these technologies, we use the usual suspects for CI/CD and communication: CircleCI, Github, Intercom, WhereBy, Tuple – This will be your toolbox. Experience in test automation would be a plus point.
Our main objective is to build and ship stable and effective applications, that solve real-world issues for our users. We are using tools and technologies where and when it makes sense. We use tools that fit the task and target, and we are not bound by ideologies.
OUR TEAM MANAGEMENT
We believe in self-organized teams. Our team consists of 1 to 4 UX designers, developers and product managers. We work in loosely defined sprints, with the target goal to ship something in the end. This can be a characteristic, an outcome or just a part of it.
