This role sits within the Risk and Analytics team. The drivers behind our platform – brilliant people working together to design, code and build the next game changers.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our existing Borrower and Investor Analytics team. This role will primarily sit on the existing lender side of the team but may also occasionally start investor projects.

Play a key role in shaping and scaling FlexiPay as a core product for Funding Circle.

Create and build financial models to understand the economics of the product, and the levers available to optimise it

Work closely with key stakeholders in the commercial and technology teams to define and monitor key metrics that drive the success of the FlexiPay product as well as leverage FlexiPay with Funding Circle’s growing product suite. Design and implement a multi-channel strategy for greater growth.

Create and own reports to track product performance and drive appropriate actions and/or forecast updates

Conducting deep dive analysis to understand who our FlexiPay users are and how they engage with the product. Use this analysis to develop strategies for customer activation and retention.

Providing requirements to our data team to ensure all necessary data is properly stored in our data lake for analysis at FlexiPay

You are?

Analytics experience within financial services ideally on credit card or other revolving lending products preferred

Experience working in cross-functional teams including marketing and technology is preferred.

Preferred coding background with SQL, R, or Python

A proven problem solver with skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods

Excellent ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, simple and actionable stories
