Ordnance Survey is currently seeking a Senior Data Architect in Nursling to join our team. We at OS embrace a hybrid working model and understand there is no one-size-fits-all approach to working. We have a remarkable HQ in Southampton, Hampshire, where you spend one day a quarter. It depends on whether you work from home or spend more time in the office. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and you will receive an aggressive salary of £53,755 – £63,245 per annum.

The Senior Solution Architect role:
Joining our growing Senior Data Architect in Nursling team, you will be responsible for defining our business data landscape, data models, and architecture blueprints for the customer and insight domains. As an integral part of the business, you will ensure the design and development of business systems and insight solutions/capabilities are efficient, sustainable, and appropriate for current and future OS needs.
You will be a natural problem solver and a colleague who enjoys the opportunity to apply technology and data architecture to deliver business-focused solutions. Your knowledge should include data management, BI and data analytics, data integration, database design, information modeling theories, and data standards.
You are looking for a candidate unafraid to learn and apply skills and experience in business situations, someone who can take a long-term view and see the big picture with the ability to balance risk and opportunity. You will build corporate capability in customer data and BI best practices with dedication. So, whether you’re making positive relationships with stakeholders or ensuring data solutions are aligned with the strategic and technical direction, you’re working to deliver accurate and proven value to the business. will
Ideally, you will come from a background in one or more domains related to customer data and BI/business analytics and have experience working with business stakeholders to develop their insight strategies and roadmaps.
What we’re looking for in our Senior Data Architect:

Knowledge of industry best practices for data architecture, data governance, data integration, and BI/data warehousing
Experience designing and developing at least one BI solution, data warehousing, or customer data platform
Experience creating and maintaining data models.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, data design, and solution architecture
Knowledge of delivering data analytics services using public cloud platforms and leading data technologies
