Job Description of Senior Cloud Architect
This role is responsible for offering the architectural vision needed to enable our cloud success, radically simplifying our technologies as we change towards a cloud-enabled enterprise. You will contact a large team of engineers and IT professionals, at a software, hardware, and system level to lead the most effective architecture needs, supporting both our public and private cloud offerings.
Responsibilities of Senior Cloud Architect
- Senior Cloud Architect lead the production and implementation of technology roadmaps and architectures, within NTS Cloud, for the improvement of important strategic programs.
- Coordinating with Enterprise Architects on “north star” architectures that visually illustrate the possible technology strategies that attain the business vision for NTS Cloud.
- Mentoring and supporting key shareholders and multiple DevOps teams in the delivery of new cloud technologies.
- Subscribe to the strategy and development of managing NTS Cloud Products & services.
- Translate into key Cloud initiatives
- Create and communicate important information to senior-level management.
- Signify, design, and apply standard practices within the NTS Cloud organization for items such as software improvement, automation pipeline distribution, and self-serve.
- Ensure security controls, applied in a consistent manner beyond all of NTS Cloud product and service offerings.
- Grow deep relationships with senior technical members within Bell NTS to enable them to be cloud advocates.
- Stay current on major fractious technology and non-technology trends that influence the business.
Education/Certification/Designation of Senior Cloud Architect
- Educational infrastructure in Software Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work proficiency
- a recognized subject matter.
- An expert in cloud technology, achieved through higher education and work proficiency
- Technical Mentorship
- 5+ years of technical proficiency in Cloud, Security, Network, and IT.
- Significant potential to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a strong curiosity for details.
- Senior Cloud Architect must have Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end cloud services and architectures.
- Extensive proficiency in architecting and applying cloud technology solutions.
- Strong acknowledgment of the wider cloud ecosystem and services industry including functional proficiency in delivering cloud services.
- Advanced experience with supple methodology practices.
- Proficiency in deploying large systems in production.
- Manage Relationships
- Strong oral and written communication skills, motivational skills.
- Significant problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the proven potential to negotiate and influence others to obtain desired results.
- Potential to speak in business terms, as well as the potential to communicate effectively, both internally and externally.
- Mature, confident, and performance-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong motivational, oral, and written communication skills, with a high spirit.
- Senior Cloud Architect must have Acknowledgment of administering cloud technologies: servers, monitoring, virtualization, storage, landing zones, instruments, etc.
- Agile / DevOps / Lean proficiency.
- Kubernetes/Container proficiency.
