Responsibilities of Remote Service Desk Technician

Remote Service Desk Technician

Level I

  • Serving as the first point of contact for customers looking for technical assistance via phone, chat, email, and tickets.
  • Maintaining internal/external teams with respect to software applications and hardware problems.
  • Managing new user accounts and hardware.
  • Identifying, researching, and resolving technical issues adding spyware,  malware, viruses, and technical computer issues.
  • Debugging and resolving system-related problems.
  • Increase issues, as required, to the next Tier.
  • Supporting knowledge of new applications and hardware.
  • Follow up with users, provide feedback and  check issues  through to resolution

Level II

  • Proven proficiency as a help desk technician or other user support role.
  • Managing user approach extras and transformations, setting security roles, and offering end support.
  • Management of Office 365 environment.
  • Management of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Completing special projects as may be needed by IT Specialists, direct supervisors, or senior administration.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 2+ years of proficiency working in a help desk environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English
