About the team:
Charged with supporting end-user-initiated requests, RST’s support team handles incoming and scheduled work for end-users of all skill levels. Providing repair and end-user education for workstations, Office and GSuite, standard and enterprise applications, peripherals and hardware, connectivity, stability, and accessories such as printers, hotspots, mobiles, tablets, and phones.
About the position:
A Remote Support Engineer in USA resource can design, build and support a client site in one place from the ground up in two typical 8-hour work days. This design requires 5 to 25 users, an active directory, a mail server, remote access, network printing, network sharing, routing, and Internet connectivity.
Responsibilities Remote Support Engineer in USA
Receives and responds to internal incident escalations to provide consultation on the next steps or additional assistance to the user
Receives and responds to incoming incident requests from clients and internal and external users
Performs routine maintenance of computer equipment and its peripherals
Provides regular and timely incident status updates to all parties (internal and external).
Maintains detailed documentation, notes and actions pending or completed on all support tickets.
Reforms incident volume triage and troubleshooting to resolve incidents
You are familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in a support environment
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals
Performs various technical tasks to complete required work or remediate incidents
Works under general supervision
The role requires a degree of creativity and freedom in the troubleshooting process.
Assists senior-level engineers with problem research and documentation.
Requirements for Remote Support Engineer in USA
Must have the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 25 pounds unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
Excellent communication at all levels within the organization, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to document critical information and processes effectively.
Follow and adhere to defined processes and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must have an ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a highly dynamic environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanour
Excellent customer service skills
Desired experience:
Must be an experience of 3 to 5 years as a Support Engineer or PC Admin in a call centre environment
