IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

As a QA Tester, you have to do the following things:

1. Spend most of your time in Rec Room, exploring and mastering all its features.
2. Collaborate with a dedicated development team to test various functions of the Rec Room.
3. Ensure the bug database is up-to-date with high-quality bug reports and test results.
4. Work closely with the Rec Room team to identify and troubleshoot bugs during new feature development.
5. Develop and implement test plans to ensure Rec Room’s functionality and quality.
6. When needed, participate in special events such as trailer shoots and community town halls.
7. Hunt for bugs and investigate issues by joining multiplayer sessions with Rec Room Community members.
8. Interact with the Rec Room community forums to collect and analyze user-reported issues.

REQUIREMENTS

For the post of QA Tester, you need the following things:

1. A seasoned professional with over three years of experience in game or software testing
2. Proficient in developing and executing test plans to ensure quality and reliability
3. Adept at creating high-quality repro steps to identify and resolve issues effectively
4. Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and handling complex problems in uncertain situations
5. Possesses an organized and detail-oriented approach to work
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and logical reasoning in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Comfortable with remote onboarding and working in a West Coast time zone.

COMPANY INFO TO KNOW

The base pay for QA Tester is within the range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year and is subject to adjustment based on location, experience, and skills.
