QA Engineers mission at Canva is to make sure that the experts they are collaborating with are always imagining about standards while working on their big objectives. We believe standard is something that should be monitored continuously throughout the procedure, not just at the end.
QA engineers at Canva are implanted in a product group with multiple experts, and work nearly with product managers, software engineers,designers and, to make sure that we’re providing an extraordinary proficiency to all our users. Some of the day to day duties are developing or setting up different standard activities during the improvement cycle, using data to prefer and advocate for problems, correlating with engineers to write unit tests, end to end testing, integration, and recognizing risks with product releases.
You’ll love this job as QA Manager in Australia:
You have proficiency in working with end-to-end feature improvement teams and limiting the QA process for your team. This may demand finding at the current improvement process for each team, recognizing opportunities for injecting standards, and recommending process changes to develop product quality.
You have proficiency in coordinating with engineers, and have an authentic understanding of web tech stacks (frontend,backend, and everything in between)
You have a precise understanding of what requires to be added in integration,unit, end-to-end to end tests and can monitor engineers on what requires to be automated.
You are diligent in your work, and excited about testing. You think of every possible structure during analytical testing and can spot bugs that others might not notice.
You are a problem solver who is energetic about solving various types of bugs. You are comfortable with using different tools to find out the root causes of problems and have linked with Jira (or other bug reboot tools) to communicate bugs pro effectively with PMs, engineers, and designers.
Not a must, but a big plus if:
You can monitor other QA engineers on standard analyzing and testing.
You have automated unimportant tasks using a scripting language like Python or Bash.
You have proficiency with an extensive view on tools like Sentry.io to track down problems.
You can question databases, and reporting systems using SQL or similar to get data to maintain your bug reports.
You have proficiency writing test cases in Gherkin syntax.
