The Role

Working in fields Manufacturing Engineer including compressors, generators, and energy storage devices with cutting-edge projects in electric motors, transmissions, and e-axles.
You will act as a key team leader in developing new manufacturing methods for machining.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Mazak machines for different components on different machine platforms.
- Work closely with quality during first production.
- Drive process improvement and NPI projects to the shop floor.
- Support machining cells on real-time problem resolution and technical issues.
- Be proactive in recommending new or improved manufacturing techniques.
- Supply cost analysis and project plans to reduce prime cost.
- Identify waste and define reduction methods within the process to allow for continuous improvement.
Candidate
- Proven track record in Production/Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
- CNC machine tool programming (3, 4 and 5 axis machines).
- Able to supervise/lead teams needed.
- New process layout – first production, tooling, programming etc.
- Able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models.
- Good knowledge of casting, machining techniques and cutting tools.
- Knowledge of Mazak Control.
- Extensive knowledge in machining of large/minor cast and steel components.
- Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP and environmental issues.
- Experience implementing lean improvements.
