Senior Power BI Developer Bromley, Kent. £55k – £60k
Hybrid working will only be considered after six months probation review.
Working within the Digital Transformation team and reporting to the Director of Resources and Digital Transformation, we have a thrilling opportunity for Power Bi Developer in London with experience and understanding of data analysis and the end user.
This role works with internal clients to determine business needs, priorities, and performance indicators and develop BI solutions that meet those needs. These solutions will identify the most suitable data sources, implement any required data transformations and provide an approach through the design of intuitive reports and dashboards. It would help if you had a strong understanding of best practices in data warehousing, data modeling, and data engineering. You will be working with tools across the group to collaborate with stakeholders to understand how data can be of value to the broader business. You must have at least three years of experience working with Power BI services, expertise in comprehensive Power platforms such as Power Apps, and a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Power Bi Developer in London Identify business reporting and analytics needs by collaborating with end users, stakeholders, and technology teams.
Create and maintain security models to support operational reporting and ad hoc reporting security requirements
Development of dashboards/reports in Power BI
Support in document report design, scheduling documents, test case documents, and end-user documentation.
Regularly collect and organize data – combine information from different sources.
Establish a data dictionary and support continuous improvement in data governance.
Support reporting requirements with timely, relevant, triangulated, and well-analyzed data.
Conduct data cleaning and quality audit to verify that the data collected is accurate.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, project systems, and processes, including safety, security, and legal matters (e.g., GDPR)
Prepare meaningful reports and perform other monitoring and evaluation tasks as required.
Undertake any other responsibilities as needed that further support Excel care’s business plans.
Skills and Experience As A Power Bi Developer:
Support the rollout of BI across the business, ensuring it is integrated into the more comprehensive technology strategy.
Extensive background working with database systems with solid knowledge of PL/SQL, T/SQL, and essential ANSI SQL
Extensive knowledge of Power BI data models, DAX, and Power Query/Pivot (required) structure
Ability to understand and draw data flows and experience manipulating large amounts of data into digestible management reporting through data transformation and building Power BI dashboards
A high level of ability or genuine desire to work with SharePoint and PowerApps
Develop and deliver data visualization and analysis solutions to identify and communicate insights that meet business requirements.
Strong team building, interpersonal, analytical, problem identification, and resolution skills.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a high standard
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience is required.
