The Role

Your role will involve collaborating with other teams within the organization and engaging with external vendors to create a localization strategy that meets our company’s needs.
You will also be responsible for executing various language localization projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, providing an exceptional customer experience, and speeding up the time to market.

For the Localization Program Manager position, we expect the base salary to range from $103,000 to $128,000. However, we acknowledge that everyone’s skills and experience vary, and actual compensation may differ from the posted base salary. We’re committed to providing equitable compensation that aligns with our employees’ job-related skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Here are the key responsibilities of the Localization Program Manager role at Carrot Fertility.
- Led and oversaw our language localization and translation strategy.
- Develop and implement efficient, scalable, end-to-end localization frameworks and processes for our software and content.
- Gain a deep understanding of target markets, languages, and cultural contexts to deliver optimal end-user experiences for each geo.
- Project manage end-to-end localization or translation projects, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors across product, design, engineering, marketing, and customer-facing functions.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies that enable the organization to move forward.
- Optimize details for high-quality localized experiences, speedy time-to-market, and on-budget delivery.
- Promote and advocate for Localization best practices across the organization.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with localization vendors and translation management system providers as a Localization Program Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Here are the qualifications and skills required for the Localization Program Manager role.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in localization program or project management and leadership.
- Attention to detail and strong empathy for end users in different markets, recognizing the importance of language when discussing sensitive and personal matters.

Preferred Qualifications

- Proven experience in building the localization function at another tech company.
- Experience in digital health and an understanding of healthcare industry terminology and regulations.
- Experience partnering with and utilizing Smartling, a translation management system.
- A degree or certification in Localization or a related field.

- Multilingual fluency, with the ability to speak more than one language.
