Ordnance Survey is currently seeking a Lead Product Owner to join our team. At OS, we believe that work is what you do, not where you go. You will join us on full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £50,286 – £59,160 per annum (depending on experience).

We are seeking for a Lead Product Owner in England to join our Technology and Design (T&D) department and possess core data capture and engineering competency.
You will have a strong track record of delivering customer requirements quickly and to a high standard. You will lead the quality of product ownership within the domain and put the customer at the center of everything you do, providing leadership across multiple projects. You will be developing feature backlogs and the ability to support Product Ownership teams throughout the lifecycle within T&D.
Role As A Lead Product Owner:
The role(Lead Product Owner in England) will involve daily interaction with stakeholders and team members. You ensure that business and customer needs are balanced throughout the product lifecycle. You will help and guide others and lead by example. You will need to be thoroughly familiar with Agile delivery methodologies and demonstrate a track record of delivering in such an environment. You will regularly attend and lead team events and are encouraged to identify opportunities to maximize growth within your teams. You will need to work with agile teams to understand business and customer needs and develop appropriate solutions for our customers.
Responsibilities Product Owner:
Providing strategic direction to the OS core capability team
Provide expert planning and prioritization of work streams within core competency, maintaining focus on budget, schedule and scope
Collaborate with Project Managers, Tech Leads and Senior Delivery Managers to ensure team capabilities and competencies are aligned with business objectives and portfolio.
Managing the core capability roadmap to ensure it is prioritized against strategic business objectives.
Drive quality and assurance of core capability delivery through structuring and scoping processes
We are working with Product Owners to ensure successful delivery of customer outcomes.
Build strong working relationships with senior business sponsors, program managers and delivery managers to ensure product ownership is considered, and all identified initiatives are implemented.
What we’re looking for in our Lead Product Owner:
Proven experience in practice management to deliver strategic value across multiple disciplines
Strong ability to develop talent and capability within teams and drive talent retention and growth.
Strategic experience in delivering multiple project services
Proven coaching and mentoring skills
Proven ability and talent management skills
Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
Product Owner Certification is desirable but not required.
