Job Description of Lead Java Full Stack Engineer
Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is looking for highly qualified Full Stack engineers with experience improving and growing high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications.
Location: Dallas, TX or Remote or Various

Responsibilities of Lead Java Full Stack Engineer
- Lead Java Full Stack Engineer is responsible for delivering software applying agile development practices with a combination of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, Cloud Platforms.
- Offer expertise in the full software development life cycle providing high-volume, low-latency, scalable and reliable applications.
- Write testable,well-designed, efficient code.
- Ensure design follows specifications and provides superior engineering outcomes.
- Support continuous development by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
- Coordinate in a team environment. Instructor and coach, the team members..
- Engage in team leadership and people management.
Qualifications of Lead Java Full Stack Engineer
- Highly proficient and first hands proficiency in Java, SpringBoot Microservices, API Advancement in cloud environments.
- Experienced in application development applying AWS or Azure or GCP (Certification desired – AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Working proficiency with SQL or NoSQL databases and any of the UI presentation infrastructures.
- Proficient in TDD (Test Driven Development).
- Acknowledgement of DevOps concepts and procedures and CICD instruments such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
- Understanding of commonly used IDEs like IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc. and UNIX scripts.
- Expert in Object Oriented analysis and features with solid understanding of software design patterns.
- Ready to learn new technologies and enjoys working in an ambitious fast paced environment.
- Have an engineering and advisory mind-set to help clients reach their transformation objectives.
- Proficiency in administering the complete software development process from conception to classification.
- Strong understanding of supple methodology, estimation techniques and key ceremonies for effective management and coordination.
- Has a highly cooperative working style. Can grow and lead a team of top performing engineers.
- Strong communication skills and participates efficiently in discussions with business shareholders, architects and the team members.
