Lead Security Engineer for Infrastructure.

Scale is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer in USA. As a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer in USA, you will work with a team of other engineers to build and secure our rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure in AWS. Scale’s platform is a leader in providing AI/ML services to its customers, and the security and management of customer data are critical.

Our platform’s core elements are AWS (S3, EC2, Step Functions, CloudFront, Lambda), Terraform, Linux, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. We have several applications and tools written in several languages ​​(Python, Go), but we are primarily a Typescript / Node shop.

You will be reporting directly to Scale’s Head of Security and bring security best practices and specific cloud security expertise to participants. Together with the Scale infrastructure team, you will solve complex security problems that enable Scale engineering to be agile and fast but maintain the highest level of security.

Responsibilities as Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer in USA

As a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer in USA, you have to fulfill the following roles.

Work to define and improve the overall security posture across the production Scala infrastructure.

Design, engineer, build and deploy automation that improves scope security.

Improve monitoring and alerting systems to help Scala respond quickly and effectively to security threats.

Identify areas where Scale can improve its cloud security and design solutions across the engineering organization.

Work closely with Scale’s infrastructure team as an expert on all things Cloud Security.

Mentor Scale engineers engage with Cloud Security best practices and collaborate on new projects, products and initiatives.

Required Skills

Ideally, you should:

Strong experience securing AWS-based cloud environments.

Ability to conveniently interact with AWS via CLI and API.

Specific expertise in data security, cloud attack surfaces, L4 and L7 networking, DNS, and other cloud-related security issues.

Experience designing management systems for automating IAM creation, management, and modification, including policies, roles, and trust.

Good knowledge of AWS data security management, including S3/KMS/CloudFront.

Experience with an enterprise identity management solution, including SAML/MFA (Okta preferred).

Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.

Have or could obtain one of the following certifications: CISSP, CASP, GCED, GCIH, GCFA, CISA, CEH, etc.
