What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a skilled Java Engineer to assist in developing, enhancing, and expanding the frontend and backend code, which interacts with external systems. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with other engineers to create end-to-end testing solutions and API endpoints and services. Your daily tasks will entail coding, testing, and troubleshooting. As our Platform continues to expand, you will have the opportunity to work on various applications and teams with the potential for professional growth.

What we are looking for
For the “Java Engineer” post, we are seeking a candidate who qualifies for the following criteria.
- Collaborate with CMS and stakeholders to analyze and design software solutions.
- Write, modify, and test code for computer applications.
- Develop applications from specifications provided by software developers or others.
- Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure accuracy and desired output.
- Update and maintain computer programs or software packages for specific functions.
- Consult with technical and business personnel to identify problems and suggest changes.
- Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to hold and control computer systems software.
- Assist software developers with designing solutions and writing programs.
- Adhere to government guidelines and criteria concerning software and systems safety.
- Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
- Participate in agile team ceremonies.

Skills
We need to hire a Java Engineer who has the following skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in modern technical skills such as Java (JEE), Java EE Design Patterns, Web Services (REST, JSON, Swagger), JCICS, OSGi bundles/JAR, UNIX/RHEL/USS, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Eclipse (IDz/RDz, RBD), JACOCO
- Knowledge of legacy technical skills such as COBOL and CICS
- Familiarity with AWS and certification is a plus as a Java Engineer.
- Experience in the healthcare claims system/Medicare Fee for Service support is helpful but not mandatory.
Education/Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
- The candidate must be currently based in the United States.
Clearances
For the Java Engineer, you need the following clearances.
- The candidate must have the ability to obtain a low-level federal clearance
- This position offers a fixed salary and includes a monthly tech stipend and a continuing education stipend as part of the benefits package.
