IT Technician in England

Purpose of work

Providing remote IT support to all end users. To proactively resolve hardware and software issues from all incoming channels. To provide a high level of customer service and company service level agreements. Be an active Help Desk team member and ensure adherence to all established Help Desk procedures and standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of IT Technician in England: 

As an IT Technician in England Provide a professional and personal first point of contact for all customers.

To provide proactive IT support to all end users.

Escalate tickets beyond assigned expertise to the following line of technical support. Ensure the customer is informed and escalation technicians accept accountability.

Ensure all support requests and incidents are effectively documented with regular client communication via phone, email and web chat.

Provide exceptional customer service support striving for first-time resolution.

Meet Help Desk’s PI and Service Level Agreements.

Perform maintenance tasks for monitoring systems.

Develop customer hardware or software for project delivery.

Start ad hoc project work.

Proactively seek feedback on ticket closures to improve customer satisfaction.

Perform and assist in any other role to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Skills and Experience for IT Technician in England:

As an IT Technician in England Ideally, you have 1 year of experience in providing help desk IT support.

Interest and experience in general IT services

Understanding of PCs, servers, email, telephony, backups, firewalls, switching and routers

Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.

Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN

Positive attitude and thoughtful

Hard worker, self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure

Willing to continuously develop technical and customer service skills

Excellent communication and people skills

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload

Computer-based qualification

CompTIA Network+, Security+, Server+ or other certifications.
