Role Of IT Support Engineer / Analyst:

This role (IT Support Engineer / Analyst ) is responsible for supporting all ICT processes and related activities, focusing on the maintenance, planning, and utilization of ICT surveying and positioning company assets and third-party rental equipment. The IT Support Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for: Supporting the survey and positioning team (processing, helmsman, vessel lift) as per department and project requirements for all matters related to workstation hardware and software Users as per relevant work instructions. Perform administrative tasks of creating and deleting. Backup and restore operations Administration tasks Ensure data is backed up and secure. Be the POC for shipboard teams with VOC and remote support.

IT Support Engineer / Analyst 

Maintain documentation, including a register of licenses, inventories, company IT procedures, and all vessel-related diagrams/inventories, etc., as per SUPO asset requirements for survey IT spreads and Ultimo asset tracking software assets. Liaise with Engineers and Workshop Coordinator for projects and fleets, including third-party vessel access through a switch/firewall. Liaison with VOC (Vessel Operation Center) and all related issues. Ensure all IT Spreads are available per service quality system and project requirements. Support offshore teams for all supply IT equipment matters and liaise with equipment manufacturers/suppliers to resolve technical issues.

To be aware of and maintain our clients’ current needs and, where applicable, the latest industry regulations and standards, including statutory regulations. Ensure that all activities are by our client’s policy on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters under our client’s specific procedures. Planned and execute purchase requisitions for equipment, spares, and consumables and monitored the procurement process as required.

Skills Required For IT Support Engineer / Analyst:

For IT Support Engineer / Analyst you have a good working knowledge of Cisco systems, including switches, routers, and call manager Visulasoft, Always Sync, and Backup exec. Good knowledge of, and experience in an onshore support environment, extensive experience in desktop and server support, VMware, and SQL experience preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe desirable but not essential: Basic understanding of offshore survey operations Experience working within the Survey and Positioning Department Experience in AutoCAD.
