OVERVIEW

As an Information Technology (IT) Network Manager, the individual will be expected to offer subject matter proficiency in the assessment, criteria, design, and application of enterprise voice and data networks for 911 systems, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS) and mission-critical IP transport. The role needs a client-focused professional committed to success by embracing and living our fundamental values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, and Accountability.

Role of IT Network Manager

IT Network Manager
  • IT Network Manager Perform highly technical IT/IP network software and hardware upgrades.
  • Engineer new configurations before application and interact with client engineering and support teams during project cutover to ensure adherence to national and international standards such as ITIL, NENA, ISO, and NIST.
  • Collaborate with clients on implementation and operations workforce.
  • Formulate technical and non-technical reports; present findings and options to clients.
  • Ensure quality of network design, management, and support deliverables for client satisfaction.
  • Share and train any technical knowledge and proficiency with co-workers – 
  • manifest a positive attitude, exchanging ideas, concepts, and processes that build strong team access to problem-solving and client solutions.

Basic requirements, and Skills of IT Network Manager

  • Ten years’ documented proficiency in designing, implementing and compensating complex, large-scale enterprise IT/IP networks.
  • A Graduate’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or a similar combination of education, proficiency, and training totals four (4) years.
  • Technical certification(s) in different networking technologies is desired.
  • Expert knowledge of routers and layer 2/3 Switches, load balancers, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, Spanning Tree, MPLS, quality of service, and TCP/IP routing, including EIGRP, OSPF, and BG.
  • Comprehensive proficiency with IP Telephony, Native IOS, and current routing/switching hardware platforms, network monitors, and protocol analyzers.
  • IT Network Manager must have a Complete understanding of Ethernet, LAN and WAN topologies, Wifi, WAP, interior and exterior routing and switching protocols, DNS, WINS, hubs, proxy functions (forward and reverse), security protocols (IPSec, SSL, etc.), time protocols (e.g. NTP), SNMP, DHCP, tag and label switching.
  • Proven problem-solving potential, technically savvy, and strategic thinker.
  • Potential to analyze client conditions, identify requirements and grow recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present concepts and recommendations to non-technical client personnel.
