The Royal Parks is a charity institute created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings and monuments across London’s eight Royal Parks. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park, St. James’s Park, Regent’s Park, Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces like Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public areas are among the most visited attractions in the UK, with 77 million visits each year.

We are now looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team and conduct the development of our IT infrastructure. This is a permanent, full-time role working 28 hours per week.

Role as IT Infrastructure Manager

As an IT Infrastructure Manager, design and manage your IT infrastructure to deliver robust solutions and ensure we continue to provide highly responsive technical support.

You will document our IT infrastructure, including our onsite and cloud-based solutions, ensuring our network meets essential cyber requirements for baseline security. You will ensure that appropriate support arrangements are in place and take responsibility for virtualized and networked environments.

Additionally, you will manage a rolling program of hardware and software compliance while leading and motivating your team to achieve their potential and make solid and individual contributions to our organization.

Qualities

To be considered as an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will need to:

– Experience overseeing the development and implementation of infrastructure components and services

– Experience managing AD, DNS, DHCP, Hypervisors, SAN, LAN, WAN, Networking, WLAN, Exchange

– Extensive knowledge and experience in managing Windows environments

– Experience with system planning, security principles, network capacity planning, and other best practices

– Excellent software/hardware troubleshooting experience

– Strong team management skills

– Ability to conduct research into system issues and products as needed

– Ability to express ideas in both technical and user-friendly languages

Instead, you will know data privacy practices and laws.

The following qualifications would be helpful: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MS Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, Data Protection Certification (EU/GDPR/P, CIPP/E), and Security/Compliance Auditing.
