This is an exciting opportunity to join a business as an IT Engineer in England in an IT support company based in Carlisle. You will cover the Cumbria region, particularly in an on-site reactive role for well-established commercial clients.
IT Software & SaaS
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 (Experience Dependant)
Location: Carlisle – Covering Cumbria & SW Scotland
Job type: Permanent & Full-Time
Responsibilities of IT Engineer in England:
Working on installation and migration projects
Hands-on knowledge of server hardware
Configuration tasks and operating backup systems
Microsoft Server Operating System.
Server Hardware Maintenance
Azure Cloud Services
Microsoft 365
VOIP / Hosted Telephony
Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMWare etc.)
Unifi Wireless equipment
Network cabling
VPN Networking
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Occasional office-based duties include resolving IT queries and issues remotely and through first-line support.
Skills and Experience for IT Engineer in England:
Experience working in a 3rd-line support role is a must.
Problem solver with strong problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of IP networking.
Excellent hardware, software and network knowledge are required.
You must hold a valid driving license and be prepared to travel throughout the Cumbria region.
