About the IT Helpdesk Assistant
We are looking for a IT Assistant in England to provide fast and helpful technical support on computer systems. You will answer questions on fundamental technical issues and provide advice to resolve them.
An excellent IT Assistant in England should have enough technical knowledge and be able to communicate completely to understand the problem and explain the solution. They should also be customer oriented and structured to deal with demanding customers.

IT Assistant in England Responsibilities:
Complete remote troubleshooting via TeamViewer and telephone queries.
Please find the best solution based on the problem and details provided by our staff.
Walk staff through the problem-solving process.
Refer unresolved issues to an outsourced IT provider.
Create, manage and troubleshoot users across AD, Office 365, and other systems.
Printer management and remote or in-person printer support
Experience in managing telephone system support such as PremPBX, IPPBX, Cloud hosted systems, and DECT-based cordless phones
Experience in a Remote Desktop WebApp or similar environment would be beneficial.
Record incidents and problems and their resolution in logs.
Follow up and update job status and information.
Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures.
A quarterly system inventory and sometimes a physical check can also be done using TeamViewer.
Trained existing staff members or new staff to use existing and new systems and software.
Manage and maintain physical and logical devices, users, computers, groups, and access to resources, server environment, and regular check backups
Getting quotes, comparing specifications, and identifying the right supplier, including Excel-based reporting, will be routine work.
Knowledge of the Office product is essential to assist users with limited expertise in using such software.
Creating user mailboxes, managing spam filters, and troubleshooting mail flow
We are maintaining and updating the laptops, mobiles, and tablets inventory.
Working closely with an external IT service provider
Minimizing external callouts to maintain budget
IT Assistant in England Requirements:
Currently, working in an IT job role is required.
Ability to diagnose and solve fundamental technical problems
Proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills
Customer-oriented and cool temperament
Have a positive attitude.
Ability to lead non-technical staff and demonstrate a technical product or service.
Willing to work hard, stay late if necessary, or start early to meet business needs.
We may occasionally ask for weekends or perform specific tasks on weekdays to minimize downtime.
A minimum requirement is a BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
A clean driving license is required, as an on-site visit may be necessary to resolve the issue.
A reliable person with a good attendance record
Experienced with folder permissions, GPO, user permissions as well as shared permissions
Regular working hours are 08:30 to 17:00, with a break of 30 minutes.
