GCP Data Engineer

Up to £85,000
You will be part of the Market Risk Technology team. Using large-scale distributed computing capacity and Big Data technologies, the platform processes more than 600 billion scenario points daily for market and credit risk metrics. Generate metrics with dynamic aggregate potential in raw scenarios. Such as VAR, expected potential exposure and portfolio stress scenario metrics. As a GCP Data Engineer UK, You will be part of a team committed to developing innovations that provide our clients with self-service analytics and dashboarding capabilities across the organization to over 500 risk and analytics users in the form of a Python toolkit.
key responsibilities as GCP Data Engineer UK
- You will collaborate with product managers, user experience designers and functional analysts to understand new user-facing desktop and mobile features.
- You will develop desired features as a member of an agile feature team.
- Collaborate with our Quality Assurance team to ensure the quality of all changes to the platform.
- Participate in iteration planning and sprint review events and engage with your feature team in the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) PI process.
- You will help maintain code quality through code reviews.
Skills and experience FOR GCP Data Engineer UK
- For GCP Data Engineer UK, you have Bachelor’s degree – STEM preferred.
- Knowledge of Spark, Hive, HDFS and SQL
- Good quality Python programming and hands-on solid delivery track record
- Experience in Google BigQuery, Java, and Big Data Tech.
- For GCP Data Engineer UK, You have Knowledge of cloud technology – GCP expertise
- Data Visualization Application – Power BI/Tableau
