About the character
The Heat Pump Ready (HPR) program is part of BEIS’s £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (ZIP), which aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative clean energy technologies and processes (including heat pumps) during the 2020s and 2030s.
The project aims to develop a digital solution that reduces the time required for consumers to install heat pumps by bringing parts of the journey online. In particular, this project aims to provide an efficient, simple, customer-oriented platform and process to support customers throughout the heat pump installation journey.
Key Responsibilities / Stage
The key responsibilities of a Full Stack Developer in England are;
Pre-survey assessment using consumer-supplied baseline data and housing stock data, determining heat pump eligibility or providing advice on other measures required to qualify (e.g. insulation).
We are conducting a remote survey and analysis, detailed design, quotation and installation plan, which will confirm a short final, confidential survey.

Experience designing software – guidance on tool architecture development required
Strong track record of back-end development
Interaction with domain and theme
We are working with API resource meter heat pump performance data.
DevOps knowledge (AWS or equivalent, familiar with Terraform)
Knowledge of data science/scientific computing
Experience working with large datasets
Looking to participate in interactive works
A strong teamwork ethic is critical.
Attention to detail
Desired experience – Full stack / Front-end focus
Experience in web application development
Experience in UI/UX design
Experience designing software tools
Willingness to participate in interactive workshops
The triumphant candidate may be required to undergo and pass the BPSS test before taking up the role.
