Finance IAG Officer

22.5 hours per week over 52 weeks

APTC Scale 4/5, Points 19-25. £19,655 – £23,502 pro rata

Are you passionate about helping students fulfill their potential? Would you like a role that focuses on and impacts student success, retention, and well-being?

We are looking to recruit a Finance IAG Officer to sit within our Student Services team at our Easton campus. This exciting and rewarding role will provide you support to current and prospective students, informing them about financial support available through the College, local charities, and various government schemes such as bursary funds, housing bursaries, and student loans. Give advice. You will provide information on travel schemes and assist with any financial concerns via drop-in, telephone, or email inquiries.

As A Finance IAG Officer Requirements

The role requires someone with methodical, excellent attention to detail, as well as research and analytical skills. Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role in the student services sector or be mathematically minded and able to solve problems. The applicant will need to read and maintain information in documents issued by the government and refer to updates issued throughout the year. The post also has an administrative element which includes processing bursary application forms and making grants to current students, MS Excel, bespoke bursary payment system PMS and student contact database EBS. The post holder will be required to provide reports on bursary applications for audit purposes and presentations on financial aid available to the class.

The successful candidate will work closely with financial advisors and officers at our other campuses to ensure equity and consistency. Occasional travel to other sites may be required for collaborative work.

Training will be available to the successful candidate and will be discussed individually. We can invest in your professional development with full support along the way.

All newly appointed employees must complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020, the government has implemented changes to the filtering rules, so we have been instructed that we cannot accept any updated service checks on DBS certificates issued before this date. Therefore, it is necessary to complete a new one with the organization.
