The starting salary for this role is £29,292 per annum for working 36 hours per week.

Flexible working is supported where possible, but there is an expectation that part of the working week will be within the office. Reporting into the Business, Project and Administration Lead, you will be based at Surrey Fire and Rescue Headquarters in Reigate.

Business And Digital Support Officer

In this role(Business And Digital Support Officer) you will act as the first point of contact for customers, including frontline staff, answering or referring inquiries as well as providing accurate and timely responses to inquiries and other routine matters.

You will perform routine administrative tasks and assist in organizing events and preparing educational materials, letters and correspondence for headquarters and fire station personnel.

You will also provide project support throughout the service.

You will collect and maintain data in appropriate databases and systems to respond to requests for information from fire and rescue managers in defined areas of activity, but also provide an information resource for utilizing SFRS.

You will work collaboratively as part of a team to develop timely Freedom of Information responses, coordinate complaints and appreciation procedures, and be the single point of contact for KPI data requests.

You will be required to provide customer service support at the HQ reception. This will include room management, handling non-emergency calls, and meeting and greeting guests, including VIPs and dignitaries.

You will be the point of contact for all inquiries regarding the approval and publication process of SFRS Standard Operating Procedures and policies and guidelines. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing documents and publishing those documents in the appropriate format and channel.

You will also be required to be the point of contact for updating and maintaining the SFRS SharePoint site, working closely with SFRS colleagues/departments to adhere to all communication and information regulations to ensure that the content is up-to-date and relevant and fit for purpose;

As a Business And Digital Support Officer You will work closely with all relevant project teams/experts and attend all meetings to review/feedback and make any enhancements to the SharePoint system. This includes implementing/facilitating and supporting any training package relevant to their role to help future proof the service and support the development of the SFRS team.
