Role Summary: Design, develop and maintain applications and systems, rapidly prototype designs and deploy and maintain these systems in a public or private cloud.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build and configure development tools and infrastructure
• Understand the needs of project stakeholders and communicate it to developers.
• Automate and optimise development and release processes
• Ensure systems are protected and protected from cyber security threats.
• Identify technical issues and develop software updates and fixes.
• Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential skills

• Some experience working with and deploying cloud technologies: AWS or Azure including infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible etc.
• Some experience building and deploying large-scale applications in continuous integration/delivery pipelines;
• Some experience using container platforms and orchestration systems ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/helm/Docker
• Some experience with source code management such as Git
• Some experience with automation, integration tools such as Jenkins, Concourse CI or cloud
• Equivalents
• Experience in scripting languages
• Some experience working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
