Functional Responsibilities, Functional Roles:
Activities can vary from creating a new development network to building and implementing a new build, testing and release pipeline. Automation is at the core of everything we do, whenever there is a task that needs to be performed more than once, it is automated as a priority.
Core technology stack the team works with: RHEL-based Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Azure Cloud (via Terraform & Kubernetes), Atlassian Suite, Nexus, Yum, Python, Bash, virtual and physical systems.

Devops Engineer The goal of the team is to provide a central point within the business for all DevOps skills and allow projects to leverage a knowledge pool rather than information silos distributed across the business. The team specifically focuses on the ‘build’ end of the pipeline by providing continuous integration expertise, guidance and execution to deliver projects smoothly and to a high standard.
Common daily activities include:
• Secondment to projects to support DevOps including:
Interactions can vary between a few meetings to an assignment to several months.
Designing and implementing construction pipelines
Configuration of Continuous Integration System (Jenkins)
Developing deployment strategies for projects/products
• Support/maintenance of build and development platforms (Azure Cloud & VCenter)
• Working on centralised tools that can be used across the business.
• Evaluation of new platforms and technologies – cloud platform, orchestration, monitoring
