Responsibilities of Developer Relations Engineer job in USA:
- Serve as a trusted community advocate and technical peer by generating content and engaging in events – videos, blog posts, reference plugins, code examples, workshops, webinars, meetups, etc.
- Grow and manage online user communities, slack channels, forums, and other developer-focused social channels.
- Work with internal teams to showcase how our company can be used for solutions to common problems facing modern web developers.
- Stitch together end-to-end solutions and build prototypes to try out new ideas.
- Represent the voice of the developer to external and internal stakeholders regarding their needs, interests, and desires
- Be passionate and social about helping and connecting with other developers to become better at their craft.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills and organizational collaboration; can deliver content to both executive audiences and developers.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to research and explore ambiguous problem spaces and translate customer needs into meaningful and actionable units of work.
- Working knowledge of Java
- Knowledge of the full stack needed for development – scripting languages, Linux, docker, bash, git, k8
- Knowledge of Javascript frameworks and Front-end development experience
- Experience building Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions in engineering, product management, or consultative capacity
- Experience with middleware, integration, and orchestration platforms
