Overview:
We are now looking for a desperate candidate to join us as a Cyber Degree Apprentice.
As a cybersecurity analyst apprentice, during your degree apprenticeship you will be responsible for ensuring that the technologies in the company’s infrastructure meet the needs of the business and are ideal for this model.
You will ensure that technologies provide flexibility, seek third-party support when needed and integrate with the needs of our growing portfolio.
Support and project management with a team, in writing and verbally assigning security / technical and operational group implementation and support.
You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies in the industry.
Key role:
Assist in research and evaluation of IT systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, prevention and correction of information security breaches.
Monitor and report security vulnerabilities and work to address risks.
Monitor, report, and maintain endpoint detection and response environments.
Monitor, report and develop IT security response procedures.
Monitor, report and maintain the software patching process. Managing security assets through the SIEM tool.
Develop and guide IT security projects.
Connect with the company’s internal and external security experts.
Liaise with suppliers, internal and external customers in a professional manner and in accordance with relevant support agreements.
To support and maintain good relationships with other peers.
Work on deadlines and respond flexibly to the changing demands of departments and businesses.
General Admin Duties Other duties as required are related to IT Security Management and Risk Assessment.

Entry Requirements:
EPA Apprentice must obtain GCSE Mathematics and English in Grade C to try through 120 UCAS Points A Level or equivalent.
You may still be enrolled in the program, but you must provide proof of level 2 maths and English proficiency before starting Gateway and EPA.
Substandard Admission Requirements:
Applicants who can demonstrate their ability to benefit from the program in other ways, especially adult students who do not have formal qualifications, will always be considered and granted their application. You will be invited to contact the program leader to speak.
The University welcomes applications from students studying qualifications from a variety of qualification categories – for example combining A Level and BTEC qualifications, and if offered you will receive UCAS Tariff Points from all of these qualifications. You will be asked to get the level at which you are studying level 3.
A good GCSE profile is expected with English language and maths at least grade C (or university recognized equivalent)
Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths must achieve this before they can evaluate the endpoint Cyber Security Analyst.
If you have studied for a new GCSE for which you have obtained a numerical grade, you will need to get at least grade 4.
Informal Interviews:
There will be informal interviews where:
Candidate’s eligibility is doubtful and further evidence is required. The candidate offers an unusual set of qualifications taken or pending, and an appropriate conditional offer needs to be determined. Candidates may need advice on program relevance.
Applicants invited for informal interviews will always be informed of its purpose.
Endpoint Assessment:
You must be able to provide Level 2 English and Maths Proof before you begin your Endpoint Assessment. You can still start programs without them, but you must be qualified to start an EPA.
Salary:
£ 18,000 – £ 20,000 per year. – (Depending on experience)
Working week:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm —- (Half an hour for lunch). 40 hours a week.
Future prospects:
Our company still has some of our former apprentices working with us and you may also be offered a full time permanent position in the company IT department upon successful completion of your apprenticeship and more Cyber Security Analyst. Training and development can be offered. Also the ability to work from home at the same time as regular target pay reviews.

QA Apprenticeships are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department of Education. To be eligible for a government-funded apprenticeship, you must have resided in the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
