This is a substantial opportunity to join a team responsible for guaranteeing that the UK Nuclear deterrent is safe for its entire lifecycle. The role will be to guide the next generation of nuclear deterrence and sustain the current evidence for the remaining products to the end of service life.
Role as Cost Engineer in England:
As a Project Cost Engineer in England, you’ll be tasked to deliver a first-class cost engineering service to projects within the company.
You’ll be an integral part of our Project Controls Team, responsible for contributing to the production of project budgets, monthly cost reports, cost forecasts, assessments of the work in progress and supplier value of work done.
You’ll also have input into the investment approval and change control process, risk and opportunity process and peer reviews.
Successful applicants for the Project Cost Engineer role will have the following:

Salary: £34,100 – £50,000 (depending on experience)

Variance Analysis
Skills And Qualification For Cost Engineer in England:
For Cost Engineer in England, you have Knowledge and experience of forms of contract, e.g., NEC3
Knowledge and experience in working with Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and techniques
Good communication skills, including networking, influencing and stakeholder management
Qualifications (preferred): Degree or HND/HNC in appropriate business or technical discipline or equivalent experience
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (Eg Association of cost engineers – ACostE)
Association of Project Management qualification (e.g., Project Planning and Control – Fundamentals/Practitioner)
Oracle / SAP / Smart View (Essbase)
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
Knowledge and experience in implementing best practice cost engineering processes and tools, including: – Budget production and baseline maintenance
