The Job
For the post of Copyeditor, you have the following things to do:
World Vision seeks a Copyeditor who is detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring the organizations copywriting aligns with its brand voice and messaging.
The ideal candidate should have experience in editing, proofreading, and fact-checking with a focus on accuracy and excellence.
They should be able to work quickly on various projects, from copy to design, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
A fundamental requirement is a deep understanding of God’s Word and the ability to use their skills to inspire others to create lasting change.

What success looks like
Your role as a Copyeditor is critical in ensuring that the projects you work on meet the highest standards of excellence. You take great care to identify and correct errors and suggest improvements throughout the internal review process.
By staying well-informed about World Vision program specifics, global humanitarian issues, and organizational brand requirements, you ensure that the messaging aligns with established standards, accurately conveys information, and reflects the house style.
Your dedication to your work inspires your team members and other communicators throughout the organization to apply the World Vision brand consistently and effectively.

Requirements
For the post of Copyeditor, we need the following requirements:
- Job Title: Copyeditor (Internal Creative Agency)
- Level: Associate (minimum 3-5 years of experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism, or related field OR 8 years equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of professional editing experience, with a preference for marketing mediums
- Must be proficient in A.P. style and have familiarity with the Christian Writer’s Manual of Style
- Some familiarity with web publishing and editing digital media
- Familiarity with the humanitarian industry and the challenges faced by the world’s most vulnerable is a plus.
- Experience in an agency setting and nonprofit fundraising is preferred.
- Location: The role can be based in almost 40 states across the United States.

Benefits and Salary
- The salary range is $57,544.76 – $87,404.26, which applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. H.Q. in Greater Seattle.
- A different salary range may apply based on your work location.
- Our typical hiring range is $60,000 – $72,000, and job offers within this range are based on relevant qualifications and pay equity.
- We offer a flexible remote work environment, meaning that staff who are not full-time remote are not required to come into the office a prescribed number of days or a percentage of time each week Copyeditor.
