About the role
As a Copy Editor, you have the following role to play:
At The Hill, our production team is a versatile group of individuals who contribute in many ways. Whether editing copy for our digital and print products, crafting engaging headlines, designing eye-catching layouts, or collaborating on informative special sections, our team operates seamlessly together.
While each member may have specific strengths in design or writing, everyone is well-versed in all aspects of our work.
Skills and qualifications
We are seeking candidates with previous experience in editing and design, with proficiency in AP style and headline writing. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and understanding how to create content optimized for digital platforms are also essential. Practical communication skills and a track record of meeting deadlines are crucial for success in this role. While knowledge of Washington and politics is desirable, it is not a prerequisite.
Compensation for this position ranges from $50-$60k annually, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skill level.
