Job Description:

• An immediate opportunity for a Cloud Software Developer Job is available at High Tech Genesis in Ottawa.
• You will be in charge of defining, designing, building, and deploying cloud-native apps and solutions on top cloud providers and platforms including Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Utilize agile software development techniques to contribute to new products or solutions.
• Software testing using CI/CD integration pipelines and automation.
• Deliver features while being able to flip between the many layers of an application or service as a full-stack developer.

Requirements:

• 3plus years of software development experience
• Gaining expertise in the back-end and front-end stacks
• Knowledge of Java and SpringBoot
• Knowledge of REST APIs
• Excellent practical experience in a variety of cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL and ElasticSearch)
• Knowledgeable about the JavaScript client frameworks Aurelia, React, and Angular
• Ability to write a variety of automated tests (unit, integration, functional, and performance) with ease
• A self-starter who is motivated and curious
• A team member who can work well in multidisciplinary teams
• A good communicator who conveys technical concepts succinctly and clearly

Desirable Skills:

• Having knowledge of any of the following
• SaaS and cloud-native infrastructure
• Activity design with event brokers like SNS, Kafka, and Solace
• Technologies for containers like Docker and Kubernetes
• Pattern-based design and microservices
• Tools for managing configuration and orchestration (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
• CI/CD workflows
• Computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related subject BS degree OR comparable experience
