The Environment, Transport, and Infrastructure Directorate are pivotal in helping achieve these ambitions as we deliver a range of necessary services that benefit all Surrey residents, businesses, and visitors. An exciting opportunity has appear within our Customer and Communities team as a Business Support Officer within the Environment, Transport, and Infrastructure (ETI) Directorate. This is lately created role where you will support the Digital Customer Experience Manager to bridge any online gaps between our customers and our service. The team’s vision is to ensure that every touch point of the customer journey is efficient and engaging.

Skills And Duties

As a Business Support Officer, you will work on various digital projects, from creating a monthly digital newsletter for the Directorate to organizing and coordinating online and in-person events to supporting the implementation of new digital initiatives. Improve the customer experience to include, but not limited to, website enhancements and the creation of new digital customer journeys.

You will join the team at an exciting time as the Directorate focuses on transforming how we deal with consumers while aligning with Surrey County Council’s vision of providing access for all.

As part of this role, you will be expected to be a super user responsible for managing and coordinating significant updates to the website and ensuring that access and meet both web standards. You will assist the Digital Customer Experience Manager to deliver digital projects, including research, gathering information, and collating to drive decisions.

This role would suit a highly organized, confident, team-oriented, self-motivated individual who enjoys working on various projects. You will work accompanying with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple directorates, so communication will be essential.

Moreover to working on digital projects, your responsibilities include administrative support such as organizing meetings, smooth workshops, and updating documents. You will need to be confident with IT, including knowledge of MS Office applications and SharePoint would be an advantage.
