Position summary:
Due to a promotion within our team, we Downer Group’s Corporate Services are now seeking an IT Business Engagement Manager (BEM) for our Milton Office in Brisbane.
Requirements:
As a business manager IT you will be required to report to our Head of IT for different strategies regarding business engagement. You will work as an interface between the business and IT, to understand business problems, look for opportunities and innovate with IT to drive the business’ strategic agenda. This role plays a key role in business, engaging directly with key executives and their leadership team, across all the business units within Downer Australia.
You are expected to understand and ideate IT solutions that enable the Downer business progress.You will be expected to be an experienced and impressive strategic leader who can think outside the box and challenge the norm to find innovative solutions to business problems and to set us apart from our competitors to win work opportunities. You will be required to have exceptional stakeholder relationship and management skills, outstanding communication skills and be innovative at the same time.
Experience required:
8 to 10 years commercial IT experience, recommended 5 years in senior IT/business roles
Proven track record in managing complex Customer relationships with a technology focus
In-depth knowledge of customer service requirements
Demonstrates an ability to develop roadmaps and to translate business strategy into program plans
should be able to develop great partnership with key stakeholders,
The ability to recognize structural defects and issues within the organization,
Extensive experience in planning and initiating business and IT programs
Understanding of project and demand management according to the client
Demonstration ability to explain program planning concepts
