We have an exciting position available for an experienced Business Development Executive to join a highly regarded, family run SME based in Perth, Scotland. This is an exciting time to join as the business continues to grow and succeed.
With an existing base of valuable clients and a well-established brand, they are looking to expand their sales function and generate new business in the construction industry. You will be passionate about sales, making outbound calls to new and existing customers to build business relationships, generate new customer leads, and maximise sales opportunities. It’s a “hunter and farmer” role that requires a lot of prospecting for new business and nurturing existing business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities…
Generating new business/interest as part of the telemarketing/sales process to win new customers using diamond cutting consumables products.
Growing sales and relationships with existing customers.
Some initial field contact with specific clients may be required.
Be part of the marketing strategy by sending emails and samples where necessary.
Generate interest using company promotions and customer referrals.
Follow up on leads.
Developing a pipeline of potential new clients
Needs
Previous experience in a telesales or account management role is essential.
Ability to handle rejection
Excellent communicator both verbally and written
Knowledge of the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.
Good negotiation skills with the ability to identify additional sales opportunities
Passion and drive to succeed in a sales environment.
Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships.
Good working knowledge of MS Office and databases and CRM
Strong work ethic and positive attitude and accuracy.
Benefits
Salary- £25,000-£27,000 plus uncapped OTE (minimum 36k expected in year 1)
