We are already seeking a proficient Applications Engineer to join the team in Hendon (SA) with an instant start!

Role of Applications Engineer
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role will be diversified and will add, but not be limited to the following duties:
- Application engineering understanding of Control Valves, Safety Relief Valves Knowledge of activated Isolation Valves.
- Thorough understanding and expertise in the use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle-based engineering software and tools
- Utilizing Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle-based pricing instruments, navigating the software system to create engineering drawings, preparing bills of materials and production schedules.
- Ability to transcribe customer-supplied engineering standards and specifications to offer detailed agreeability/ deviation statements.
- knowledge and translation of customer data sheets, PFDs, P&ID, and process data sheets
- Engineer suitable types of instruments to suit particular technical scenarios
- Use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle software and catalogues for activator and valve selection
- Offer engineering support for customers and outside sales personnel
- Thorough understanding and expertise in the use of Emerson / Fisher First 2 Oracle based engineering software and instruments
- Review ITP’s and make sure that customer specifications are accurate.
- Knowledge of certification 3.1, 3.2, various NDE features, fire tests, etc.
- Implement and support quality systems
Qualification of Applications Engineer
- The perfect candidate will have:
- Higher qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- Signified proficiency using Emerson / Fisher First 2
- Working knowledge of ITP’sITPsCertification 3.1
- At least 2 years of proficiency in an Engineering role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Potential to read and transcribe technical specifications and engineering drawings potential to grow and support internal and external shareholder relationships
- Excellent analytical skills with a higher level of initiative, self-motivation and drive.
